Bigger Than Ever ....
RE/MAX Shatters Growth Records

Chances are better than ever that there’s a RE/MAX professional serving your neighborhood – or the neighborhood of your dreams.

RE/MAX shattered its growth records in Sales Associates and franchise sales in 1999. The real estate franchisor ended the year with 57,467 agents in 3,422 open offices, both all-time highs.

“We’re pleased with these accelerating growth figures,” says Daryl Jesperson (ABR, CRB, CRP), RE/MAX International President. “In 1998, we had the best year of  growth in our 26-year history. And 1999 topped it.”

RE/MAX, which now boasts a presence in 32 countries, recorded 564 franchise sales in 1999. That topped the record of 531 set in 1998, which itself had towered above the previous high of 413 (from 1994).

Sales Associate net growth also topped the charts at 4,843, surpassing 1998’s record of 4,596. The two-year net gain of nearly 9,500 Sales Associates is far higher than any other two-year mark in the network’s history.

Jesperson sees no slow-down ahead. “RE/MAX has a long history of attracting the industry’s best and most-experienced agents,” he says. “Our growth reflects the quality of our Sales Associates and the service they provide their customers and clients. Agents who want to be with the best join RE/MAX. Consumers who want to work with the best call a RE/MAX Associate. That’s why RE/MAX sells more real estate than anyone in the world.”
